Raabjerg Church (Danish: Råbjerg Kirke) (1320)
It’s really difficult to find information on this church outside of my book. It’s located in a part of Denmark (in northern Jutland) near the Raabjerg Mile, which is the name for the approximately one mile long, migrating sand dune. There’s something about this simple, obscure building that draws me. I think it’s due to its odd proportions, crow-stepped gable façade, and simple colour scheme.
